Suunto x Mammut: New multisport smartwatch with long-lasting battery, offline maps and numerous training functions

Suunto x Mammut: new watch now available worldwide

Suunto offers a new smartwatch that is also suitable for long and demanding off-road tours. The model was created in collaboration with the outdoor activities company Mammut.

Wearable device manufacturer Suunto and outdoor company Mammut have jointly launched a special type of smartwatch. The device is a limited variant of the Suunto Vertical, which has been available for some time and is supposed to be tailored to the Mammut Eiger Extreme collection. Specifically, a limited bracelet is available, but the powerful technology of the Suunto Vertical has not changed.

Like Garmin’s Fenix systems, the Suunto Vertical also supports the use of offline maps. A battery life of up to 60 days is advertised, which, as usual, can only be achieved in optimal conditions. The watch can also be charged using integrated solar charging. The GNSS module supports GPS, Glonass, Galileo, QZSS and Beidou.

The bezel of the watch is made of titanium and the case itself is made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide. The water resistance is said to reach a depth of 100 meters and the depth gauge measures up to 10 meters when diving. A 1.4-inch matrix touch screen is installed. The watch can also be controlled using the integrated buttons and the touch screen can be locked.

Other features include a barometric altimeter. Extensive training functions have been implemented; Heart rate and blood oxygen saturation can now be measured. The Suunto X Mammut Vertical Titanium is now available for $1,299.
